海の底が描かれた染付の鉢。 有田で17世紀半ばに焼かれたうつわです。 二枚貝や海藻、またその上には魚（鳥？）が泳いでいます。 裏面には花（牡丹）唐草がめぐらされ、まだ花唐草が完全にパターン化される以前のものではないかと見ているところです。 高台内には「宣明年製」銘。 少ないですが、17世紀以降、古伊万里のうつわの高台内に用いられている銘です。大明宣徳年製が変化したもののように思われます。 鍔縁状の器形は、明時代に流行した「面盆」のそれによく似ていて、明の染付や五彩の影響を受けていることがうかがい知れるのです。 器面全体に細かな貫入が生じ、使用によるニュウも。 そのニュウのラインに沿って細さの際立つ金繕いが施されています。 見込の海底の図柄を囲むようにぐるりと金のラインがめぐらされているのですが、裏面にはニュウ（トリアシ）が貫通している様子はありません。 この細い金のラインによって、中央の文様が控えめながらも強調されているような印象を受けました。 状態：貫入、ニュウを金繕い 水漏れ：あり 口径　24.8cm 高さ　8.4cm 重さ　約769g 磁器 日本・有田 江戸時代前期〜中期　17世紀 A charming blue and white bowl, with design of seabed with crams, sea grass and fish.
